I am a Jewish woman now living in Bedford, New Hampshire … born and raised in the Baptist Bible Belt of West Texas to two Jewish Parents… basically no Jewish education until Oct 7th knocked me over!!! Been attending classes and my local Chabad Shabbats and events ever since !! Love you and your podcasts!! Keep up the great work!! 👏🏼❤️ Am Yisrael Chai!! 🙏🏼🇳🇮🙏🏼
@@Teslians Mishneh Torah, Kings and Wars 11:6 Jesus of Nazareth who aspired to be the Mashiach and was executed by the court was also alluded to in Daniel's prophecies, as ibid. 11:14 states: “The vulgar among your people shall exalt themselves in an attempt to fulfill the vision, but they shall stumble.” Can there be a greater stumbling block than Christianity? All the prophets spoke of Mashiach as the redeemer of Israel and their savior who would gather their dispersed and strengthen their observance of the mitzvot. In contrast, Christianity caused the Jews to be slain by the sword, their remnants to be scattered and humbled, the Torah to be altered, and the majority of the world to err and serve a god other than HaShem.
Watching from Miami and I admire Kassy Akiva tremendously. I have been reading her articles on DW for a a couple of years. She is brilliant and brave. I am so glad she joined the Jewish nation. What an honor for us!
I am watching from Jerusalem... Story is amazing!! We also converted from being cristian to Jewish and it was the best thing we've ever done!! But It's a hard process. But... No struggle, no gain. Being Jewish is the best!!!❤️😄❤️ My mom tells our story every week and keeps our amazing guests entertained all Shabbos long ❤️ People ask: What is your favorite Mitzvah? Answer: none... I love them all!
Midwood, Flatbush! Met Cassie and Her husband at my kids house in Boston!! They are amazing people, so inspiring!! So glad she got to tell her story! Her husband has an amazing story as well!
Shalom! I'm from Northern California. I'm on my conversion journey although i've live as a Jewish woman just need the conversion so i can be a legitimate Jewish woman.
Watching from Short Hills New Jersey; I have been following Kassy's career as a journalist for few years (prior to her conversion): I have the ultimate respect for her--obviously made a difficult life choice--we welcome her as part of Ka'l Yisroel
Kassy, you are beyond inspiring, brave and brilliant. You overcame so much and were determined to be different and to succeed. I wish you a long healthy life so you can keep sharing your fascinating story 😊
Watching From South Africa! Thank you so much for all the INCREDIBLE work you do! Bringing so much VERY important awareness to the frum community!! Keep doing what you doing!
Watching from Los Angeles, California. We need these podcasts now more than ever to give us warmth and inspiration during the difficulties going on in SoCal
Kassy, you are such an inspiration. Your childhood was painful and complicated and you could have ended up the same way as your mom. You turned your life around in an incredible way.
This was an amazing interview. The way she talks, (I know that she is a professional speaker) but when a person comes from a completely different background, and starts a new life, is hard to talk about. She did a great job. Welcome to our Jewish family. We accept you and we love you. Do not let anyone make you feel bad for what you have done.
From Rehovot Israel. May G-d bless you in your efforts, and may you and your husband keep growing together and grow a beautiful family too! Nachy you are a great interviewer!
Commenting from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. It was a roller coaster of emotion following her tumultous ride. Jews need to be reminded of the richness of their heritage and hold onto it as a precious and valuable commodity. Thank you Devora Ruth for the inspiration. Belief in a deity Who constantly makes miracles is a massively liberating force in a person's life. It means living with a sense of constant expectancy that the Divine Plan may shine through at any moment and that anything is possible if only He wills it and we make ourselves worthy.
@CompartmentRecoveries2048 Yes, many of us do appreciate our Jewish heritage and Jewish lifestyles. Thank you. Just curious, are you Jewish? I hope you appreciate your own heritage.
I’m commenting from North Carolina! 💗 Kassy my heart danced as you spoke about your first time at the Kotel on a Friday night and how you danced! I will never forget my own similar experience but I was on a Messianic Christian tour and Hashem grabbed me by my heart and stole my breath! Christian no more! Nothing compares to the Torah! The Simcha was so palpable I joined in dancing even though I didn’t know the steps! That was 2years ago and my life has changed forever! Back home Hashem continued to work on my heart and a few others in my Saturday assembly group. The assembly group split after we saw the need to connect with Hashem without a demigod. I am a Noahide now and I would convert but a rabbi’s advice is don’t cause a divorce as my husband is a-religious! I too understand the rigors of poverty and alcohol abuse by parents. It makes us stronger! May Hashem bless you and keep you and your family shielded from all evil!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Im watching from Monsey, NY. This podcast was really incredible! How Kassy was able to accomplish so much considering what a difficult childhood she had is really something!!! Your determination and resilience to follow what you felt was right which led to your conversation is so incredibly inspiring! Keep up the great work!! ❤
I loved this episode!! What a crazy ride, every twist and turn. Politically conservative here too.. i don’t understand how any other perspective could align with Orthodox Judaism in this day and age. I’m in New Hope PA
Watching from Monsey NY. Thank you Nachi for the weekly inspiration and getting to meet such interesting and fascinating people from my home!! Makes it easier that I can't get out much.
